JOHANNESBURG – State logistics company Transnet will be sending a technical team to Kenya soon, as South Africa and Kenya pledge to partner on logistical infrastructure upgrades.

Visiting Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta toured the Transnet Koedoespoort plant on Wednesday where he was shown what was on offer from Transnet.

His tour follows discussions with President Cyril Ramaphosa on strengthening ties between the two countries.

Transnet is offering services including the laying of railway lines, manufacturing of wagons, and training.
