Saudi Arabia’s decision to liberate the intercity bus transport market will enhance competition, localize jobs and increase the public-private partnership, said Saleh Al-Jasser, Minister of Transport and Logistics Services.

“The decision will provide high-quality services in line with the best safety and quality standards, in implementation of the goals of the national strategy for transport and logistics,” the Saudi minister said in a tweet.

On Feb. 2, the Transport General Authority (TGA) announced issuing a tender for providing bus services to link more than 200 cities and governorates across the Kingdom through 76 routes, Argaam reported.
